We owe much thanks to Sister Lorraine Ayotte of Good Shepherd Catholic Church whose dedication and service to McCreary County continues to help those community members in need. Mission: To reach out in Chrisitan awareness to the people of McCreary County, KY who are in need. Particularly those from the low-income population who do not qualify for help from government and other agencies. Precent without Med. Insurance: 23.9% Unemployment rate: 7.7% Care Center Statistics: The numbers of people who need assistance is growing, and the following numbers demonstrate the tremendous increase in total individuals served at both the Medical Clinic and the Food Pantry. In 2006, The Care Center served 16,026 individuals. In 2007, The Care Center served 22,064 individuals. Please note that the above numbers may not fully cover all individuals we have assisted.
