About Us

The McCreary Christian Care Center Medical Clinic, founded by Sister Lorraine Ayotte of The Good Shepherd Catholic Church, along with Dr. Merrill Winchester, provides medical assistance to low income families in McCreary County. We have a staff of approximately 15 volunteers, some retired nurses, a semi-retired doctor, and a semi-retired pharmacist. Our director, Sue Singleton, oversees our programs and has been with us since 2000.

We are a 501c and (3) Tax Exempt organization. We solely rely on donations that we receive from local and out-of-town churches, businesses, and caring people in the community. We also receive grants from FEMA along with The United Way.

We order medicines through indigent companies for people who do not have any insurance that covers medicines.

Our office hours are Monday - Thursday from 8 AM to 4 PM. Our clinic hours are Wednesdays from 8 AM to 12 PM. On Wednesdays, new patients must arrive by 8 AM to register. We do not schedule appointments and operate on a first come, first serve basis.
