You must not have insurance and have little to no income. If you are a new patient, you must arrive by at least 8 AM during clinic hours on Wednesday to register. 2. Do you have any Diabetic testing supplies? Yes, we do have testing supplies available for sale. We sell 50 testing strips for $11.00 and meters are $11.00 as well. 3. Do you provide any dental care? We do not provide dental care at the present time. We can, however, refer patients to a dentist who gives a discount to our clients. We must charge 50%, or half, of what the dentist charges. 4. Do you help to pay electric or water bills? No. We can only provide assistance for food and medicine. If you need other assistance, try calling the Christian Appalachian Project number in McCreary County at 1(606) 376-9855. 5. What if I can not afford my medicines? At the Medical Clinic, we keep over 100 different kinds of medicines on hand to be given to our patients. We also have applications for some drug companies that offer a program called "Patient Assistance Programs." 6. What are the requirements for the “Patient Assistance Program?" The requirements for PAP are proof of income (yearly taxes, a month's worth of paychecks, 2 recent bank statements, or an award letter if you receive disability) and a prescription for a 3 month supply of medicine along with the completed application. 7. Do you help people with gas voucher to go and see other Doctors? No. We do not have funding available for gas vouchers. 8. Do you have any kind of controlled or narcotic medicines? No, we do not keep any controlled or narcotic medicines on the premises, and we do not prescribe any to our patients. 9. Do you help people with eye exams? We can only provide assistance for eye exams to patients that are diabetic. 10. Do you help with eye glasses? We can help clients with glasses fill out an application through a program called the “Lions Club,” but to qualify you must be either a full-time student or over the age of 60. The application is turned into the Lions Club and at their monthly meetings they decide wether to approve or deny a patient. If approved, they send you to a local eye doctor for an exam.
